Meet Claire. Dr. Chinwe Claire Attoh on official documents, but Claire to the planners, brides, corporate clients, and collaborators who have worked with her across the last decade.
She trained as a medical doctor at the University of Ghana. Somewhere between final-year medicine and the first real client of her career, she founded B&C FABs. Everyone assumed she would eventually choose. She never did. She just kept building both a clinical mind and a creative company, until it became clear they were the same skill wearing different clothes.
Her training sits underneath the work in ways the industry is only beginning to appreciate. Clinical thinking. Triage. Calm under pressure. The discipline of doing things in the right order. What looks, on the surface, like a creative business is in fact a deeply systematised one.
She has become one of the more credible voices arguing that the African events industry will only grow up when it stops apologising for structure.
The industry does not have a talent problem.
It has a structure problem.

In storytelling
The most important question on any brief is not what should it look like. It is what should they feel when they leave the room. Events are not decorations. They are journeys with an emotional arc, and someone has to design that arc on purpose.
In structure
Vibes do not scale. Systems do. Talent gets you the first few jobs. Structure is what lets you take on more without the whole thing shaking every time you step away. Structure is not the enemy of creativity. It is what protects it.
A decade, in a few dates.
The beginning
Founded Events by B&C FABs while still in medical school. Not a hobby, a decision. She had already begun to professionalise a passion, and refused to choose between the two worlds.
The doctor
Graduated from the University of Ghana with an MB ChB. The training in triage, calm under pressure, and doing things in the right order would quietly become her event methodology.
The recognition
Named among Nigeria's Top Event Planners and invited to Dubai to mark the distinction alongside other industry leaders. Proof the structured approach was working.
The decade
Grew B&C FABs into a Group: Events by B&C FABs, Florals by FABs, The Concierge by FABs, Procure by TCF, and FABs 360. Corporate events, conferences, executive dinners, and public experiences across Nigeria and beyond.
The Diary begins
Launched The Diary of an Event Girl. Part education, part editorial, part diary. A place to teach the machinery most planners learn the hard way, if they learn it at all.
The next chapter
Teaching AI fluency for planners, business structure, and the craft of scaling without burning out. Digital products, coaching, and consulting for the industry she wants to see grow up.

A whole person,
not just a founder.
She is a wife and a mother of three. A former stage performer who still believes a room has a rhythm. Someone who reads SOPs the way other people read novels, and who will happily argue that a good spreadsheet is a love language.
She is a member of the International Event and Wedding Planning Profession and the Luxury Wedding and Event Stylist body, and serves as Director of the Event Committee and Past Executive at APPOEMN. She is funny in meetings, slightly dramatic in group chats, and completely serious about one thing: excellence is a behaviour, not a budget.
The Diary of an Event Girl exists because too many talented people are quietly drowning in a business that lives entirely inside their heads. This is where the head gets emptied onto paper, turned into systems, and handed back as something that can actually grow.
